The Sacred Liturgy, which includes all the Church's Holy Sacraments, but especially the Most Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, is the Source and Summit of everything we are and do here at St. Paul Parish. All our gifts and inspiration flow from the Source of all good things, our Lord Jesus Christ, present among us in the Holy Eucharist. All our efforts and ministries we bring back to the Summit of the altar, to offer God worship in Spirit and in Truth (Jn 4:24).
The Eucharist is essential to our Parish Mission
It is primarily the Eucharist that forms us into holy disciples through sanctifying grace. It is the same Eucharist that fosters and builds up the community through the Holy Communion we share in the Lord. And celebrating the Eucharist we hear proclaimed the Gospel so that we may proclaim to our neighbors the goodness of the Lord who redeems us from sin.
Check out our Mass and Adoration times, and also the benefits of adoration.
Our parish also offers a weekly Extraordinary Form Mass on Fridays at 5:30 p.m and Sundays at 9:30am.
You can also listen to the Sunday Mass homilies here.
Blessings
God's graces flow from our Blessed Lord through His Holy Church. The Lord came to redeem not only our souls but our bodies as well. God does not want us to neglect our bodies, but use them in a holy way through love of God and love of neighbor. Similarly, God desires that we use the material things of this world for His glory and the building up of His Kingdom. Because of this, the Church blesses people, places, and things. Church buildings, altars, the sacred vessels used at Mass, are all, of course, blessed. But the Church has blessings for people on anniversaries, special family occasions, other buildings, homes, workplaces, vehicles, food, religious items, even pets, and a whole bunch more! These blessings carry the authority of the Church and can help lead us to deeper prayer and holiness. While there are many blessings, there are a few that we celebrate regularly at St. Paul Parish. Check out our Blessing page.
The Sacrament of Confession is directly connected to our Eucharistic Mission
Reconciliation is so needed in our Church and in our world. Perhaps it is difficult to believe that through something seemingly so simple God absolves us of our sins and restores us to His Life, but that is the wonderful truth! At the same time, while the ceremony itself is simple and God's love for us is always there, we have to repent. That is what can be difficult for us. In our pride or fear we forget the love of God or lack faith in His true power, yet He continually calls us to reconcile and begin again. We do not need to be afraid. Go to confession! You will be so glad you did.
Check out our confession page for times and also how to make a good confession.
This page focused on only a few aspects. There is so much more when it comes to celebrating our Faith through the Church's Liturgy. Check out all the other sacrament pages to learn more!
